On Sept. 12 television’s biggest night of the year, better known as the Primetime Emmy Awards, took place. The high-profile gathering recognizes the most outstanding talent in national primetime programming- but you should not underestimate its jewellery potential, either.
Here are some of the jewellery and watches that shared the spotlight with the celebrities.
Starting strong with Zendaya, who won her second Emmy as leading actress in a drama series for her role in “Euphoria”. Bulgari’s brand ambassador Zendaya wore an assortment of white gold jewels from the luxury label. Her look included a necklace with over 17 carats of diamonds, a pair of stud earrings, and an oval ring encrusted with dozens of luminous gems. To pair these jewels, she wore a classic black strapless Valentino ballgown.
Nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for “The Great”, Nicholas Hoult walked the red carpet in a fitted black blazer, and his pants had a subtle flare. Instead of a simple look, he wore Briony Raymond paste necklace layered with a chain under the collar. The Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador also wore the Reverso Classic Large Duoface Small Seconds in pink gold. This peculiar watch was born as a challenge: LeCoultre wanted to find a way to protect the glass of the watch for polo players during matches. Then the idea came along, a case that could be flipped over, and to make it more substantial, 18 carats were added.
Amanda Seyfried, the winner of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role in “The Dropout” complemented her Armani Prive dress with Cartier High Jewellery platinum wedding bands and diamond earrings. Seyfried fittingly matched this jewellery with Jaeger-LeCoultre 101 Reine watch festooned with 110 diamonds.
Commenting on her dress Seyfried said “I felt like a knight- a really beautiful, pink-purple mermaid knight”, whereas for the jewellery she mentioned “They make beautiful jewellery timepieces. We kept it simple and classic”. Should we agree that these outstanding pieces were just simple?
